The Musée des Augustins does not own a great many pieces of Renaissance art in the Northern and Southern Netherlands and in Italy.

 However, the collections do include several works of great quality among which some masterpieces of Italian 16th century painting. The works from the Netherlands are proof of the constant relations between the Toulousan region and artists from the north.
